On 8th May, 2015, CBMI signed EPC contract on clinker production line,
Slurry Kiln 9 3000t/d with PPC Ltd in Johannesburg. Mr. Tong Laigou,
Board Chairman of CBMI, on behalf of the general contractor, Mr. CEO
Darry II Castle, CEO from PPC Ltd, on behalf the owner signed on the
contract. Mr. Tryphosa Ramano, CFO from PPC, Mr. Leon, Project director,
Mr. Depeen, Project Manager, Mr. Song Shoushun, Chairman from Sinoma
International, Mr. Meng Qinglin, Chairman from Sinomaee, Ms. Yang Lei,
Vice president from Siomaee, Mr. Li Xingming, Regional Manager, Mr. Ma
Aiguo, Director of Marketing Department, Mr. Liu Dengqiang, Project
Manager, Mr. Wei Zhiguo, Senior Account Manager etc, all of them
attended the contract signature ceremony.
PPC is the biggest and oldest cement producer in South African, who have ranked in the South African Johannesburg public list since early of 20 century，with 100 years. At the mean time, PPC established strategic cooperation relationship with Sinoma, who would like shaking hands to develop the international cement market in future.
Slurry Kiln 9 Project is invested by PPC, which located in Leichenburg, the North-West city of South African, with 250km distance to Johannesburg. The work scope for this project is from auxiliary material shed to clinker transport to clinker silo, which including the design, purchasing, civil work, erection and commissioning etc. The Contract has entered into effect since the signature by both parties, and the work commencement date will be calculated since receiving of the advance payment, the work period is 25 months for the whole clinker line, with 28 months for preliminary acceptance certificate.
The signature of PPC Slurry kiln 9 project evidence that the second entrance by CBMI into the south African market since the past Lafarge South African project, which is also the first project between CBMI and PPC cement group, It is very important for CBMI and Sinoma, to strengthen the cooperation with PPC cement group, and further developing south African and the whole African market.
